The mill

A family sawmill in Serbia.

Wood World Trading is a family-run sawmill in Serbia, dedicated to one material: European oak. We work with Quercus robur and Quercus petraea, slow-grown hardwood from the forests of the Balkans, and we follow every board from the log yard to the moment it is loaded for delivery.

Our approach

Good timber is not hurried.

Each log is assessed before it is cut, sawn with attention to grain and yield, and graded by people who have spent years learning to read wood. The result is lumber that behaves the way it should once it reaches your workshop: consistent, honestly graded, and ready to work.

As a family business, our name is on everything we ship. That shapes how we work with our customers: direct communication, clear specifications, and a commitment to delivering exactly what was agreed, load after load.

Today we supply manufacturers, joiners and timber merchants around the world, from furniture and flooring producers to traders who need a dependable source of European oak. Whatever the order size, the standard is the same.

How we work

What buyers can count on.

Consistency
Every bundle is graded by the same team to the same standard. What you approve on the first order is what you receive on the tenth.
Stability
Controlled kiln drying to 8–12% moisture. Boards that stay flat and true in your workshop and in the finished product.
Reliability
A family business that has supplied oak for more than 20 years. Agreed volumes, agreed specifications, delivered as agreed.
Mill-direct prices
You buy from the sawmill itself. No traders in between, no added margins.
Log yard

It starts with the log.

We cut more than 10,000 m³ of oak logs a year, from managed forests in Serbia. Each log is measured and sorted by diameter and quality before it reaches the saw.

Good sorting at the yard is the first step to consistent grades at the end.

Sawing

Opened for yield and grain.

Our sawyers read each log and cut it to get the most clear, straight-grained boards. Thicknesses are held to tight tolerances, so boards arrive ready for your production.

Kilns

Dried slowly, dried evenly.

Boards are stacked with care and dried in our kilns, about 2,000 m³ capacity in total. Drying is controlled to a final moisture of 8–12%.

Even drying means stable boards: flat, true and free of drying defects.

Grading

Every board, checked by hand.

Our graders inspect every board and sort it to grade: UWP, Super-Prime, AB, FAS, Joinery or BC. The same team, the same standard, every day.

Bundles are then strapped, labelled with grade, thickness and volume, and made ready to ship.
